you can’t have found my secrets,
i try not to keep any,
but if discovering my truths has brought you
this burst of righteousness,
and if that sense of self is something you enjoy,
then i congratulate you on it.
i’m past the point of finding my self
inside of your judgments.
these days i’d be happy to just find myself
instead of just finding that self
has nothing to do with anything outside of it,
and that ‘anything’ includes
you and your
joy in authority
you’ve found my truths
but can you find your own?
doesn’t it feel just a little bit good
to be just a little bit better
than me?
what else feels quite like
the sound of
‘i told you so’?
you’re welcome.
i’m wandering
lost in a twilight
of non-offending sort-ofs
somewhere between
the line of not hurting them
and breathing just how they say
how can it be
that i must always ask
what will they think
if i do this?
and not
what is right?
Profound and beautiful. Thank you!
So incredibly true.
